About the BMM-251 Microphone
BMM-251 is a recreation using Matt McGlynn’s V251 circuit upgrade kit and RK12 capsule. We embodied this into an Apex 460 tube mic body and modified the power supply unit for the correct voltage.
The RK12 capsule is a near perfect match to AKG’s CK12 capsule used in the ELA M 251. The tube is also upgraded in this kit to a EHX 12AY7.
We are very pleased with the pristine sound this microphone now captures and will surely contribute to an exceptional experience by artists.
